Terms of use

These terms govern the use of the Examitude platform, available at examitude.com, app.examitude.com and through the Examitude mobile app. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.

The service

Examitude is a preparation service for the TEF Canada and TCF Canada French exams: comprehension exercises, timed mock exams, writing and speaking corrections, courses, progress tracking and, on request, coaching by a teacher.

Examitude is neither an exam centre nor an organisation accredited by the exam designers or by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. Level estimates (NCLC) are working indications based on your results on the platform; they do not predict the result of an official exam.

Your account

The account is personal. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for what is done with your account. You must provide a valid email address and keep it up to date; it is how we reach you.

Accounts are created on the website. The mobile app lets you sign in to an existing account.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the service for your own preparation. Sharing an account, copying or distributing subjects, answer keys and courses beyond personal use, submitting texts or recordings that are not yours to have them corrected, and attempting to bypass the service's technical measures are prohibited.

Assisted corrections

Writing and speaking corrections are produced by an automated system, reviewed by a trainer when you choose human review. They are meant to help you progress; they may contain inaccuracies. A correction the system could not produce is automatically refunded in credits.

Access, credits and purchases

Some features require current access or correction credits. Terms, prices and refund conditions are described on the website at the time of purchase, which takes place exclusively on app.examitude.com. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store your card number.

Content

Subjects, answer keys, courses, sheets and texts of the service belong to Examitude or its partners and are protected by copyright. You keep your rights on the texts and recordings you submit; you allow us to process them to correct them and give them back to you, under the conditions of the privacy policy.

Suspension and termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or close an account in case of breach of these terms, after informing you unless urgent.

Liability

We do our best to keep the service available and accurate, without guaranteeing the absence of interruption or error. Our liability is limited to the amounts you paid us over the last twelve months, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top indicates the version in force. A substantial change is announced by email or on the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain applicable.
